So we can help faster, please include your iPhone model and what you were doing when the problem happened.

Manage in the app

Cancel your Gold subscription

  1. Open Profile and, in the Subscription section, tap Manage.
  2. Tap Cancel subscription — it opens your subscriptions in the App Store.
  3. Cancel there. Gold stays until the end of the period you've paid for.

You can also cancel without opening MomStory: on iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Restore a purchase

On a Gold offer screen, tap Restore purchases (on the Subscription screen it's called Restore purchase). MomStory checks the Apple ID you're signed in with and brings Gold back if it finds an active subscription.

Delete a voice

  1. Open Profile → Voices → Manage.
  2. Tap ⋯ next to the voice, then Delete voice, and confirm.

We ask our voice partner to erase the copy right away; this usually completes within 24 hours. Stories already made stay in your library.

Delete your account

  1. Open Profile and tap Delete account.
  2. Type DELETE and tap 🗑 Delete account forever.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Gold subscription. Cancel it in the App Store first, or Apple will keep charging you.

Your account data is removed immediately, and files and voice copies usually within 24 hours. Database backups are overwritten within 30 days. Full details, including what remains, are in our Privacy Policy.

Voice and safety

How is the voice for stories created?

You record your voice for 30 to 60 seconds, reading a short text on the screen. The recording goes to our voice partner, who makes a copy of your voice and uses it to read your stories aloud. More in our Privacy Policy.

Where is my voice stored and how do I delete it?

Your recording is deleted from our servers as soon as the copy of your voice is built. Only the copy stays, and it does nothing but read your stories.

You can delete a voice any time in Profile → Voices. We ask our voice partner to erase it right away; this usually completes within 24 hours.

Can I make a voice of someone else?

Only with them holding the phone. Each person records their own voice in the app and reads a short phrase aloud themselves — our voice partner checks that the voice reading the phrase is the same voice being copied. Uploading a ready-made recording isn't possible.

Can I add a voice for Dad, Grandma, or a nanny?

Yes. On Gold you can add up to 5 voices. Hand them your phone, tap the add voice button, and they read the short text aloud themselves.

The voice does not sound like mine — what do I do?

Try recording again in a quiet place, at your usual pace — without pauses or background noise. The result depends a lot on a clean recording. If that doesn't help, write to us at support@momstory.app.

The voice sounds unnatural or has an accent — why?

Copying a voice is still new, so it sometimes sounds a little off — that is normal. For most people the result is close to their own voice, but small slips happen, especially in intonation or rare words. Try recording again, or write to us — we help case by case.

Stories

How often does the MomStory library update?

A new story appears in the MomStory library every day. All library stories stay available — you can come back to favorites any time.

How long does it take to voice a story?

Usually about a minute — from starting creation to a ready audio story. If the connection is slow or many stories are being made at once, a bit longer. While the story is being created, you can close the app — it will wait for you in the library.

What does "personalized story" mean?

Your child's name and favorite animals become part of the story. This works for library stories and for stories you create yourself.

What ages are the stories for?

MomStory stories are made for children ages 2 to 7. They're short, with simple, kind plots. Stories you create in the app are written for the age in your child's profile.

Can a story be scary?

Library stories are written in advance with calm, gentle endings; when you open one, AI puts your child’s name and favourite animals into it, and the plot stays the same.

Stories you create are written by AI following strict rules: no death or illness, no violence, no frightening images, no religion, politics or medical advice. The AI follows these rules, but it can make mistakes — if a story isn't right, delete it and write to us.

Subscription and payment

What is available for free?

With no time limit: every library story to read aloud yourself, 3 stories in your voice (a total, not monthly), and 1 saved voice. No card needed to sign up.

What does Gold include?

30 voiced stories a month; the count renews each month on the day you pay for Gold. Gold also includes up to 5 voices and costs $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year; the App Store shows the price in your local currency. There is no free trial.

How do I cancel my Gold subscription?

Through your subscription settings in the App Store — Apple requires subscriptions to be managed there. Gold stays until the end of your paid period. Step by step: Manage in the app.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple — go to reportaproblem.apple.com or Settings → your name → Media & Purchases → Purchase History. If you run into trouble, write to us.

What happens to my stories if I cancel Gold?

All stories you made stay in your library, and your voices stay saved. You lose the monthly Gold stories, and you can't record a new voice while you already have one. You can return to Gold any time.

Tech and access

Which devices does MomStory work on?

MomStory is an iPhone app, available on the App Store. You sign in with your Apple ID.

Can I listen to stories without internet?

Every story you've voiced — your own and from the MomStory library — is kept on your phone, so it plays without internet: on a plane, in a tent or in the car. Creating and voicing a new story needs a connection.

How do I turn notifications on or off?

Notification settings are in Profile. You can turn off any reminder with one tap. If notifications don't arrive, check the permissions for MomStory in your iPhone Settings.

How do I share my video?

1. Film your child listening to a story in your voice.

2. Open momstory.app/share-video and sign in with the Apple ID you use in MomStory.

3. Upload the video. Once we've reviewed it, it appears in the video feed on the website.

You can delete your video any time: sign in on the website and open My videos.

To ask us to remove any video, write to support@momstory.app.
